The joy and happiness of each new day that God dawns, fills the soul of the faithful Orthodox Christian with light, where the same brilliant, optimistic and glorious, lays the foundations of the inspiration of the hagiographer, in order to paint a Saint or a Saint each time.
The birth of the Saint is transfigured in the dew of water in the brush of the hagiographer who begins the first brushstrokes of the consolidation of the prefiguration of the design…
The birth of a saint marks the Agony, the Support, the Hope, the Support, the Love, the Relief in the daily toil and trial and finally the Resurrection from the pain, the melancholy and the struggle of everyday life. It is the opening of the doors of a spiritual journey and the companionship of an observer-companion of the life of the Saint.
The birth of the Saint is the beginning of the driving force of inspiration that directs the hagiographer to icon-paint and to transport the soul of the Orthodox Christian to the Paradise of the Blessings of the Saint or Saint he or she is painting. With his prayer, he will trigger this inconceivable dynamic of the Divine Beneficence of His Holy and Miracle in the mercy of God, towards the most perfect and faithful depiction of each iconography.
The coming of age of the Saint and his life on earth, is transfigured through the colours that the hagiographer will choose to give thought, movement and transition through historical time, marking the events that frame the Life of the Saint.
There at this stage, the hagiographer’s hand is guided by Divine Enlightenment which is activated by the hagiographer’s devotional life and by his prayerful action and energy which he draws daily at work and by his participation in the ecclesiastical devotional rites, thus reaping the Divine Grace that each believer who participates in them draws…
Alongside the stages of the elaboration of the hagiographic work and the study of the Life of the Saint and the reading of his or her Canon of Supplication, a devotional meeting takes place within the soul of the hagiographer, a Panegyric of Panegyrics, a God-consecrated Joy and an Explosion of Divine Grace derived from the study of the Martyr’s Life of the Saint and the sacramental Orthodox course of the Saint’s life..
The deep desire of the hagiographer is to bring close to the faithful the form and at the same time the appearance of the Saint, so that the faithful can approach him prayerfully and feel his presence in their lives, with a strong sense and experience of his spiritual help and protection.
